this firing we have focused on faceting: the cutting of clay on the surface of the pots to create new planes, sides. it's great to see our mugs, wall pockets, steins, vases, canisters and many others faceted, with white slip and glaze. we have mixed 6 new glazes: tenmoku, two celadons, two turquoises, blues, and combinations of some. we have been making big pots for the gallery show in the fall, and they have some very ornate and beautiful designs. hope to see you!
